Saxion is among the largest universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands, with origins dating back to the early 1900s. Saxion's campuses are located in the beautiful eastern part of the Netherlands in the historic cities of Deventer, Enschede and Apeldoorn. All three locations have good transport links.
The university has around 20,000 students, 2,000 of whom are international students from 52 different countries. The international programs started in 1990, and there are currently business, technology and environmental courses at Bachelor's and Master's level. Teaching at Saxion focuses on professional practice. Although students are responsible for their own progress, they receive advice and support from their lecturers.
Accommodation
Saxion provides accommodation for international students in Deventer and Enschede. In these cities, the university has agreements with local housing associations that offer student housing. They provide the university with apartments with rooms of various sizes. All rooms are single and furnished, with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The housing has wireless internet.

- Bachelor's degree: €2,006 per year;
- Master's degree: €2,006-€11,000 per year.
