Jönköping University has 10,000 students, 1,500 of whom are international. The university is one of the best at international student exchange and at attracting international students. School of Business
This is a young, dynamic institution. The first students enrolled in 1994, and over the last 20 years the school has grown and now offers Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral programs. Students at the school are part of an international environment that gives them a unique educational and personal experience. They work with students from all over the world, sharing the ambition to develop in-depth knowledge in various fields.
The school offers Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral programs. Teaching is in English, except for courses related to Swedish law and accounting principles.
School of Education and Communication
The environment at this school is creative and inspiring. The distance between lecturers and students is small. The school offers programs in communication and marketing, international work, human resources and teaching.
Programs are offered at Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral level, as well as single-subject courses. Although all Bachelor's programs are taught mainly in Swedish, many elective courses in English are offered to international students.
School of Engineering
This school aims to be a leader in Europe in developing and disseminating new technologies and knowledge that increase the international competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. The school focuses on preparing students for success in business and on developing specific working methods geared toward small and medium-sized enterprises. The courses provide a broad technical knowledge base that gives students engineering skills and stimulates their entrepreneurial spirit.
The school offers Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral programs. There are also two-year courses at college level and at higher vocational education level.
School of Health
The school provides high-quality education and research in health and social care with the aim of maintaining and improving the health of individuals and the population. The school's programs score highly in national evaluations and are an example of excellence. There are also web-based courses that allow students to study from anywhere in the world.
Accommodation
Jönköping University is located in the city center. The accommodation options offered to international students are 25 minutes from the university by public transport. In certain circumstances, students may be offered other accommodation due to the housing shortage in the city.
The university guarantees accommodation for admitted international students.
Rent can range between SEK 2,400 and 4,000 per month, depending on the size of the apartment, furnishings, etc. Rent generally includes electricity, water and heating.
To have guaranteed accommodation, all students must register their arrival dates.
