Dania Academy of Higher Education comprises 9 campuses located in central Jutland, including in Skive, Viborg, Randers, Hobro and Silkeborg.
You can apply to the campuses in Viborg and Randers.
Viborg is a medieval administrative city, today the capital of the Central Denmark Region. You will certainly find a place to stay there, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will help you find part-time work. In 2010, the Viborg campus moved to a new modern building in the city center, equipped with all the facilities needed to use modern equipment and technology.
The city of Randers is big enough to offer everything an international student could need. At the same time, it is smaller than the other major cities in Denmark, which makes it less expensive to live in and gives it a calm, friendly atmosphere. The city is very conveniently located in relation to the rest of the country. It is 35 km from the second-largest city, Aarhus, and about a 4-hour train ride from the Danish capital, Copenhagen.
Studies
Studying is not limited to attending classes at the university. Students are also given various assignments outside class, which they must prepare themselves and submit on time according to specific requirements. The goal is for students to learn to take responsibility for their own education and to be able to organize their study schedule.
Attendance at all classes is required, which means that students should not work during class time. Everyone has free access to computers and the internet, and each student is given a personal email account to communicate with lecturers, classmates, etc.
Accommodation in Viborg
The city offers many accommodation options for both local and international students. Due to the growing number of international students, new residence halls have been built and more are planned. The largest residence halls are located right next to the Viborg campus, just a 2-3 minute walk from the academic building. Accommodation fees vary depending on the type. A private room with its own bathroom and kitchenette costs about DKK 2850. This price includes heating, electricity, TV and internet. The rent for the room alone would be about DKK 2100. Three-bedroom apartments are also available, with rent for two people ranging between DKK 3,500 and 3,900. The rooms are fully furnished. The only thing students need to bring is bedding.
Accommodation in Randers
Most international students choose to live in the Randers Kollegiegård residence hall, located about 8 km from the Academy. The residence hall is furnished, and students only need to bring their own bedding and kitchenware. Rent is about €230 per month including heating, electricity and TV. Internet is not included. Students may subscribe to internet services if they wish, which usually cost between €15 and €20 per month.
Payment of the first month's rent (€230) is required upon arrival, as well as a deposit equal to 3 months' rent (€690), which will be refunded to students at the end of their studies provided no damage has been done to the rooms during their stay.
