Bucks New University

Bucks New University was founded in 1983, but it gained university status only in 2007. Bucks is a new-generation university that is always open to new ideas. It strives to provide its students with an innovative and dynamic culture. The university has developed many of its courses with the help of its partners in various industries, so that students feel prepared for the world of work when they graduate. Research Excellence Framework 2014 (REF) rated 35% of the university's research as “world-leading” and “internationally excellent.” Bucks is ranked first for education in Child Nursing, second for Adult Nursing and third for Mental Health Nursing by NHS (National Health Service) London. The university has a very well-developed careers center that helps its students successfully enter the world of work and find jobs. Both of the university's campuses are located in large towns, which provides excellent opportunities for part-time work. Bucks offers job opportunities in the student union cafe and as student ambassadors, and informs students about job opportunities in the surrounding area.

High Wycombe is located right between London and Oxford and is the second largest town in Buckinghamshire. The university has two campuses, one in High Wycombe and the other in Uxbridge. Central London is easily accessible from High Wycombe – just 40 minutes by train or bus – as well as from Uxbridge, again about 40 minutes away.
