British and Irish Modern Music Institute

BIMM, The British and Irish Modern Music Institute, has colleges in 6 cities where music matters – London, Berlin, Dublin, Manchester, Bristol and Brighton – and is proud to be the largest and leading educational institution for modern music.

BIMM has more than 50 years of experience helping students launch successful careers in the music industry. It offers a wide range of higher education programs. The subjects taught include guitar, bass, drums, vocals, songwriting, music production, music journalism, music business and event management.

There is no secret to success. If you want to succeed in the music industry, you have to immerse yourself in it and build connections. With BIMM, you connect with the music industry.

BIMM is connected with more than 4,500 students. All of them have access to the wide range of opportunities BIMM provides. It offers access to the $50 billion music industry through weekly Masterclasses with internationally renowned guest artists, performances in small and large venues, connections with many music festival organizers and performers, and the production of the annual BIMM album.

BIMM offers more internships and job opportunities than any other music college. But perhaps the biggest benefit for students comes from their connection to the large network of graduates (more than 1,500), who offer support, mentoring and industry connections.

BIMM alumni have won numerous awards and have featured in the top 10 UK albums and top 40 UK singles – including names such as The Kooks, Tom Odell, George Ezra and James Bay. 80% of all BIMM graduates make a living in the music industry.
