A 3rd time in the USA on a student summer job – isn't that the dream of every student who has been even once? You'll say I went for the money – well, you could say that, but the experiences, the memories, the change in my character – these things are priceless.
For the 3rd time I went to Cape Cod, to an amusement park, where the boss and I are now so close that we even went on a trip together. The takeaway is that if you work hard, it's appreciated!
Let's get back on topic, since I got a bit sidetracked :D
A few other guys from the park, the Boss and I organized the famous Road Trip. Basically we toured around California and went through Vegas, Death Valley and other lesser-known places. If you're wondering whether to go to the USA or where to travel, all I can say is "All I can say is Vegas" and I'm lost for words :D Take that however you like!
What happened to us on the trip after the Work part of the summer job? Besides going through the famous Death Valley, where we almost ran out of fuel and nearly stayed there forever, we met a rather "sociable" and cheerful American who, the moment he found out we were Bulgarian, put on some Bulgarian music and started enjoying himself all on his own. We were stunned, of course.
Let me brag about the limo from the airport! Is it luxury or a waste of money – everyone sees it their own way, but it's an experience, right? After all, not everyone can afford to ride in a limousine, right? Well, we went on a student summer job, did some work, and then it was time to get what we came for – the Travel part.
What else can I tell you… I could tell you a lot, but I won't.
I'll just tell you one thing: go on a summer job and don't overthink it! There's no way you'll lose out, as long as you work hard, of course ;)
One more piece of advice: the bigger the agency you sign up with, the more robotic the consultants are!
