A city like Moscow can give you a lot. With your very first steps on Red Square, the surrounding beauty takes your breath away. It is a place everyone knows and dreams of visiting. It is the oldest central square in Moscow, and the name 'Red Square' has nothing to do with communism – it comes from the word 'krasny', which once meant 'beautiful'. Around it are St. Basil's Cathedral, the Kremlin, Lenin's Mausoleum and other landmarks of the Russian capital.
When you decide to go for a walk, there is certainly no more beautiful street than Arbat. It is a picturesque pedestrian street in the center of Moscow and one of the oldest and most famous in the city. Because of its many unique historic buildings and the famous artists who lived and worked there, Arbat is now an important tourist attraction.
If you want to relax and admire a wide variety of animal species, you can do so at the zoo. It is located in the center of the Russian capital and is one of the largest in the world. It is the oldest zoo in Russia, founded in 1864. The Presnya Ponds are located on the zoo grounds, and the Big Pond has been preserved in the form it had when the zoo was created back in 1864.
This is just a drop in the ocean of what can be said about Moscow. We leave it to you to discover the secrets of this incredible city.
P.S. Thanks to our new friend Yuri, who tried to show us a large part of Moscow in the little time we had.
