The U.S. Embassy is organizing a photo contest on the theme "American Values." Each participant is required to submit a collage of at least 3 photos taken during their summer work program. The photos can be from the workplace, trips and various interesting events. The idea of the contest is for students to show, through their own eyes, the variety of values they saw in the USA that made an impression on them – innovation, optimism, volunteering, etc.
Each person may enter only one collage, sent to sofia@usembassy.bg with the subject line: American Values – a photo collage (American Values – a photo collage) by November 16, 2016. The following information must be included: full name, contact details (address, phone number), university, the city and state where the student worked, a short description of each photo included in the collage (Where and when was it taken?/ Who is in the photo?/ What value does it represent and how?) and a short story about the American values they encountered during the Work and Travel program.
Instructions: Only students who traveled through the program in Summer 2016 may take part. All photos must be taken personally by the students; otherwise they may be disqualified from the contest. The best entries will be published on the U.S. Embassy's Facebook page and must comply with the relevant terms of use. Any inappropriate or unsuitable material will be removed from the contest. The collage must be no larger than 5MB and the format must be a JPEG (.jpg) file. Entries must have a resolution of 300dpi and be no more than 2000 pixels in length. No watermarks, signatures or personal information are allowed on the collages. The winner will be notified by e-mail, and their entry will appear in the U.S. Embassy's Summer Work and Travel 2017 brochure.
We wish you good luck!
