Study in the Netherlands!

The Netherlands is one of the most densely populated and lowest-lying countries in the world and is famous for its dikes, windmills, wooden shoes, tulips and the palpable tolerance of its society. It is one of the most developed and wealthy countries in the world. With its liberal attitudes, it is a sought-after destination for many students and tourists from all over the world.

The education system in the Netherlands dates back to the 16th century and is one of the most respected globally. There are two types of universities in the country: research universities and universities of applied sciences. Universities of the first type prepare students for independent practice and research work in an academic or professionally oriented environment.
Universities of applied sciences are more practically oriented and prepare students directly for specific professions.

Tuition fees in the Netherlands are relatively low – about 2000 euros per year. The government offers a loan option with favorable repayment terms. The average monthly cost of living in the Netherlands is about 900 euros, which includes the tuition fee if it is paid monthly.

And here are some interesting facts about the country and the local culture:

1.The risk of being hit by a car in the Netherlands is minimal, unlike the risk of being hit by a cyclist. Cycling isn't a pastime, it's a necessity. That's why in many places the pedestrian sidewalks have been converted into bike lanes. Pedestrians don't get much respect. Almost every resident of the country has a bicycle.

2.Dutch sounds terrible, but on the other hand everyone knows English. What's more, the Netherlands is considered the country where English (as a non-native language) is spoken by the largest share of people.

3.The Dutch are the tallest people in the world. The average height is 184 cm for men and 170 cm for women.

4. The Netherlands is famous for the tulips grown there, but they're not actually Dutch. Tulips were first brought over from Turkey, but they thrive very well in this soil.

5. The Netherlands is the largest exporter of beer.

6.Compared to most cultures, the Dutch are quite reserved in public; they don't touch often and don't show anger or any other extreme outburst of emotion. The Dutch expect eye contact when talking to someone. Looking away or looking at the ground is considered very rude, and they may think you're lying.
