Ambassador Scholarship Program

To become an ambassador of the USA in your own country. That is the mission of the J-1 Work and Travel exchange program. The goal is to enrich international understanding and friendly relations between people from different countries. Our long-standing partners, CCI Greenheart, in turn offer a scholarship for these ambassadors. It aims to support the personal development and professional growth of participants, as well as to provide opportunities to work on joint projects with American companies related to the environment, sustainability and diplomacy. It's important to note that if you are successfully selected for the scholarship, all program fees (excluding the plane ticket and government fees) will be refunded to participants after the end of the program.

If you too want to become part of the program and have an unforgettable summer with peers from all over the world, you must:

- plan a volunteer event in the USA and in your home country;

- get involved in various activities in your host community;

- publish interesting articles and videos on the CCI Greenheart blog;

The application takes some time, but the wait is worth it. It follows this timeline:

- March 1, 2017 – all scholarship applications must be sent to CCI Greenheart;

- March 13 – 17, 2017 – interviews are held;

- March 27, 2017 – a list of the names of the selected participants is compiled;

- May 2017 – arrival in the USA.

As with any organization, there are obligations here that must be met. Here are some of them:

Participants' obligations before the start of the program:

One month before the start date of the work permit, students must make a video on one of the following topics:

- How do you plan to learn more about other cultures during your stay in the USA?

- Describe the professional skills you hope to gain during your work in the USA

- What are the main environmental problems in your country and what methods can be applied to solve them?

Obligations during the program:

Every month, participants must submit 5 photos with a short text about them or create a 1-2 minute video on one of the following topics:

- What is special about your host town?

- What did you learn from the people you met during the Summer Work and Travel program?

- What new skills did you acquire during your work?

Obligations after the end of the program:

- January 1, 2018 – creating a final project. The type of project must be related to the experiences during the Summer Work and Travel program. Only after approval by CCI Greenheart does the participant receive their portfolio;

- January 15, 2018 – the completed portfolio is shared with the sending partner and the respective participant.

Education is the key to opening many doors to future success, and international travel significantly increases the number of opportunities and prospects for students, as well as broadening their worldview. That is exactly what CCI Greenheart wants – to give students the opportunity to be themselves, express themselves freely and develop in the world around them.
