Summer Language Course in Winchester with LAL Schools

St. Swithun's is a private, independent girls' school with a strong reputation for high academic achievement. It was founded in 1884 and is named after the English bishop of Winchester. It is located on the outskirts of England's ancient capital – Winchester, in Hampshire.

Classes and classrooms

Groups consist of a maximum of 15 students of different nationalities. The classrooms are centrally located on campus. They are large and spacious, and some are equipped with interactive whiteboards. On arrival, students take a test to determine their English level, and another on departure to check their progress. Lessons total 15 hours per week and are held mainly in the morning.

The course and methodology

LAL uses its own textbook – "Round the World". The curriculum and levels are aligned with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), and the courses are developed by LAL's academic staff with an emphasis on communication and current topics.
