Summer Engineering Preparation Course with Oxford Royale Academy

Every summer, students from all over the world join the Oxford Royale summer schools, where over two weeks participants have the opportunity to study their chosen subjects in greater depth than ever before. Tuition is 20+ hours per week. A variety of cultural activities and excursions to Britain's historic landmarks are organized, as well as debates with leaders, politicians, academics and businesspeople.

Engineering Preparation Course:

The intensive summer engineering course is designed to introduce students aged 16-18 to engineering and to help them apply to universities in the United Kingdom. Engineering is an exciting and rewarding discipline. The course provides the foundations of engineering science and immerses students in the wide range of opportunities available when studying the subject at university. It examines the challenges facing the modern engineer and explores some of engineering's great unsolved problems. Students broaden their academic skills and their understanding of theoretical concepts through practical tasks, and explore various branches of engineering. They are encouraged to view engineering as a multidisciplinary subject grounded in scientific theory and mathematics, in order to understand and develop technical solutions.

Accommodation, meals, tuition, a cultural program and a certificate are provided. Groups have a maximum of 15 students, with a minimum of 20 hours of tuition per week.

Accommodation:

Students stay in comfortable single or twin rooms – girls and boys are housed separately. Regular university students also live in the residence, so participants get a taste of what it could be like to become students at the university themselves. Bathrooms are usually shared by students of the same gender, and some rooms have private bathrooms.
