Hampstead School of English is one of the oldest schools in London, founded in 1977. The area is a highly sought-after destination, 30 min. from the city center and close to the ancient Hampstead Heath park. The center focuses on cultural events and excursions rather than on sports and other activities.
Program types:
- Young Learners Experience – for children who want to improve their English while having fun and making new friends, and who prefer a variety of activities.
- Young Learners Culture – for children who want to improve their English while discovering the city's cultural riches and heritage, and who prefer sightseeing to other activities or sports.
- Young Learners Intensive – for children who want to reach a higher level of academic English and want to use the language in discussions, debates and role plays; who also prefer sightseeing to other activities or sports; and whose English level is at least B1.
- Young Learners Sports – for children who want to improve their English but also want to improve their skills in a particular sport.
What to expect:
- 6-day program
- 15 hours of English tuition per week (21 hours for the Intensive program)
- 15 students per class from different nationalities
- Preparation for the Trinity College London exam, as well as taking the exam itself at the end of the stay
- Certificate and academic report at the end of the course
- One full-day excursion per week
- At least one half-day excursion per week
- A full evening program with various activities.
Accommodation:
- Children stay with carefully selected local families who provide at least 2 meals a day. The room is usually shared with another international student, but a limited number of single rooms are available on request.
Course start dates:
- June 28; July 5, 12, 19, 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23.
- Arrival is always on a Sunday.
