Welcome to the Capital School of English in Bournemouth. You will have the opportunity to receive professional English language tuition from a friendly team, following a program specially designed to meet your interests. The school offers courses for students aged 12-16, with an emphasis on grammar, pronunciation, listening and speaking.
Tuition
The program covers different topics every week, linked to students' interests – music, fashion, sports, current events and news, and art. Students develop projects both individually and in groups; each project has clear goals and a language focus and is presented at the end of the week. The presentation may include an oral or written presentation, artwork or staging a play. The program is designed to develop not only students' linguistic skills but also their self-confidence and communication skills.
Facilities
During the summer program, classes are held at the Rothesay Road Centre, whose facilities are fully tailored to students' needs and are located just 20 minutes from the main building in Bournemouth. Students can rely on helpful staff on campus to assist them with every aspect of their stay.
The classrooms are located right next to the campus and are equipped with modern technology and a constant internet connection, ensuring high-quality teaching.
As part of the program, a hot or cold lunch is served in the campus cafeteria Monday to Friday. This is the ideal place for students to practice the language freely with their peers and improve their language skills.
Where will I live?
The first option is to stay in the residence on campus, where you can count on helpful staff who will look after your comfort throughout your stay.
The second option is to stay with a host family in a single or double room, with breakfast and dinner provided Monday to Friday and full meals on weekends. This is an amazing opportunity not only to practice your English but also to get to know English culture up close. Transportation from the host family to the campus is by taxi, fully covered. Host families are selected with great care so that you can feel at home in a friendly and clean environment.
Extracurricular activities
The program offers a wide range of extracurricular activities such as volleyball, soccer, netball, tennis, swimming, beach games, karaoke, drama and much more, as well as excursions to destinations such as London, Oxford, Bath and Stonehenge.

The package price includes:

An additional fee of GBP 135 is charged for pickup and drop-off between Heathrow Airport and the Capital School of English on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from July 14, 2013 to Sep. 1, 2013. The school covers the cost of taxis from the school to the host family.
