Anglophiles Academic is a language center that offers summer camps and language training abroad. It has been on the market for almost 40 years and organizes English language courses in the UK, France, Ireland, the USA, Canada, China and other countries. Its mission is to provide high-quality teaching and valuable experience for young people, to introduce them to new challenges and to enrich their lives with excitement and enjoyment.
Funcoast World is located in the town of Skegness (a seaside town in northeast England) and offers language camps that combine learning with fun. The center has a pool with water slides, wave machines, Jacuzzis, boat rides and other water attractions. Everyone can also enjoy the huge golden beach the town is famous for. Students have access to tennis courts, sports fields, Wii computer games, discos, archery, bowling, music shows and a cinema. All facilities are secure and supervised.
English & Sports Academy is a summer program (July and August) that offers a mix of language tuition and a variety of fun activities, while also giving students the chance to specialize in one of the following sports:
- Basketball – 20 hours of physical and mental preparation for competition. Improving skills for the forward and guard positions, developing shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, rebounding and team play. Players of all levels are welcome.
- Football – 20 hours of physical and mental preparation for competition. Improving team and individual skills, ball control, passing, feints, defensive and attacking tactics, heading, penalty kicks and much more.
- Tennis – 16 hours of physical and mental preparation for competition. Developing backhand and forehand strokes, serving, using ball trajectory and racket technique. Players of all levels are welcome.
- Cable Ski – This program offers the unique opportunity to master the art of water skiing. The center has a shallow stretch of water around an island. Skiers are towed at variable speeds. Beginners have a dedicated area where they can learn their first steps calmly. Advanced skiers can master more difficult techniques such as master slalom and obstacles.
All four sports are led by specialized instructors.
Language tuition includes 12 hours of English per week (24 hours for a two-week stay and 33 hours for a three-week stay). Students' level is assessed on arrival, after which they are placed in groups of 12-16 people. The teacher adapts materials and teaching techniques to the individual needs of each group. Special emphasis is placed on speaking and listening. The center's goal is to make everyday communication in English effective.
Students are accommodated in modern and comfortable mini-apartments with 2-6 people per apartment.
