Anglophiles Academic is a language center that offers summer camps and language training abroad. It has been on the market for almost 40 years and organizes English language courses in the UK, France, Ireland, the USA, Canada, China and other countries. Its mission is to provide high-quality teaching and valuable experience for young people, to introduce them to new challenges and to enrich their lives with excitement and enjoyment.
English & Multi-activities/English & Horse Riding is a spring and summer program (April, July and August) that offers a mix of language tuition, a variety of fun activities and excursions. It takes place in the town of Mallow – a small, beautiful country town 48 km from Cork. The people in the town are extremely warm and welcoming.
Language tuition includes 12 hours per week. Students' level is assessed on arrival, after which they are placed in groups of 12-16 people. The teacher adapts materials and teaching techniques to the individual needs of each group. Special emphasis is placed on speaking and listening. The center's goal is to make everyday communication in English effective.
The program has 2 options:
- English & Multi-activities– various sports such as swimming, tennis, badminton, table tennis, squash and more; indoor activities such as bowling, ice skating and more. One full-day excursion every week and walks around the area are included.
- English & Horse Riding– 6 sessions of 2 hours; horse training, riding, improving technique, caring for and grooming the horse. In the afternoon there are various activities and sports. One full-day excursion every week is included.
Students stay with specially selected Irish families who provide them with 3 meals a day.
