This course offers 15 hours of language instruction per week combined with 7.5 hours of academic courses for students aged 13 to 16. The academic classes can be replaced with 7.5 hours of "Animal Care" or "Programming". The course covers all levels of English.
The program includes language instruction, organized trips to various landmarks, academic courses, entertainment and fun activities. The emphasis is on grammar, vocabulary, real-life communication, exam preparation and academic study. Each student's individual progress is monitored, which helps with personal motivation and setting higher goals. The course also covers various areas of the country's culture – literature, art, history, etc. Group projects presented through presentations are also planned. The program develops the children's team spirit and their skills in presenting and speaking in front of an audience. At the end of the course, students sit a certificate exam that tests the core language skills – listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
Each week there are 2 full-day excursions and one half-day excursion to cultural and tourist sights in London, Oxford and Brighton, as well as organized visits to amusement parks. In the afternoons there are fun games, sports tournaments and more, where the young people can practice the language and develop their artistic skills and other qualities.
The price for one week is £1010. The fee includes:
- Welcome and orientation on arrival;
- One-week language course (15 hours + 7.5 academic hours/animal care/programming) + study materials;
- Excursions and entertainment;
- School bag, participation card and participation wristband;
- Certificate of participation at the end of the program.
Accommodation is also included in the program price:
- Airport pickup and transportation;
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner;
- Insurance;
- Laundry;
- Internet.
The only thing not included in the price is pocket money.
