The Bucksmore Oxford intensive course is designed for students aged 14-17 who want to study English intensively. The program also includes leisure activities combined with the tuition, which makes it attractive to applicants from all over the world. Groups of 8 to 11 people are formed, and all levels are included – from beginner to advanced.
The program includes intensive language courses, project work, organized cultural excursions and academic courses. During the course, discussions are held on various topics related to the culture, history and life of the country. In this way, while learning the language, students also gain insight into the way of life in the country. The academic courses prepare students for various exam formats (for certificates, university applications, etc.), and at the end of the whole program they take an exam for a Bucksmore certificate. Participants have the opportunity to choose one subject (history, literature, sciences, etc.) that interests them and study it entirely in English (90 minutes per week). The project work is done in groups and is delivered as a presentation to the other participants.
Every week there are 2 full-day and one half-day excursions to cultural and tourist attractions with qualified guides who tell students the history of each place. Among the most interesting destinations are London, Oxford, Thorpe Park – every Brit's favorite amusement park – and others. Leisure activities, sports events, art and music performances and more are an integral part of every summer program.
